When the public reads a post that they find objectionable it can be flagged as inappropriate. The system will then send an email to both the Group Owner and System Administrator that a post has been flagged.
Important Notes
- Either the Group Owner or the System Administrator can review the post or discussion, and the comments from the public, as to why it was flagged, and remove or un-flag the comments.
- Flagged items will remain visible to the public until they are removed.
Instructions
- Go to the Community Connection site
- Note: You can find it at [yourdomain].civicplus.com/CommunityConnection.

- Select Group List
- Select the Group you need to review
- Select Discussions
- Click on the discussion with inappropriate comments
- Find the flagged comment and click Remove
- Note: You can click Flagged as Inappropriate to view the reason why the comment was flagged.
- Note: To just remove the flag, marking the comment as Appropriate, click Unflag.
- Note: You can click Flagged as Inappropriate to view the reason why the comment was flagged.
- Fill in a Reason for Removal
- Note: The person who commented will receive a personal email with your reason.
- Click Remove Comment
Note: Community Connection also has an Inappropriate Word filter that appears under Site Properties. If the post has an inappropriate word in it, the system will prevent the post from being saved and let the user know they are using language that is not permitted on the site.
