This article will show you how to replace an existing document in the Document Center module.
Replace Document Error
The most common reason an error is received and a document cannot be replaced is that the original file was uploaded with a special character in the filename. Even if renamed later, the original file path generated with any special character except an underscore (such as hyphen/dash, slash, or period) will corrupt the file path so that it cannot later be updated.
Instructions
- Sign in to your site
- Navigate to Modules and on the Content tab, select Document Center
- Select the folder with the document you want to replace
- Click Actions and then Modify next to the document you want to replace
- Select Choose File
Note: Depending on your browser, you may see Browse instead of Choose File. - Select and open your document
- Click Convert to PDF if you want to convert your file into a PDF
- Select Save
