This article will show you how to create and manage a category in the FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) module.

Create an FAQ Category
Instructions
- Sign in to your site
- Navigate to Modules and on the Content tab, select FAQs
- Select Add Category
- Fill in the information fields
- Category Name: Create a category name
- Start Display: Enter a display date to auto-publish the category. A blank date will immediately publish the category.
- End Display: Enter an end display date to auto-unpublish. A blank date will leave the category published indefinitely.
- Number to Display: Maximum number of FAQs that display on a related page
- Show Archives: Leave as the default
- Template: Choose a template you would like for your category

Permissions: Set permissions at the category level
- View: May view the live side only
- Author: Submit new items, modify/delete unpublished items
- Publisher: Publish new items, modify/delete unpublished items, modify/unpublish published items, and publish/reject submitted items
- Owner: Publish new items, modify/delete unpublished items, modify/unpublish published items, publish/reject submitted items, create/modify categories and assign category permissions
- Scroll to the top and select Save or Save and Publish
Modify a Category
- Sign in to your site
- Navigate to Modules and on the Content tab, select FAQs
- Select Choose an Action and then Properties next to your desired category
- Modify the fields
- Click Save
Delete an FAQ Category
Important Notes
- You cannot delete a category that has questions in it.
Instructions
- Sign in to your site
- Navigate to Modules and on the Content tab, select FAQs
- Find the category you would like to delete, select Choose an Action, and then Unpublish
- Scroll down to the Unpublished Categories section, select Choose an Action, and then Delete
- Select OK on the dialog box that says, Are you sure you want to delete this category?
