All emails sent through Notify Me or CivicSend must come from listserv@civicplus.com unless your organization would like to use a sending service of your choice that supports SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) relay.
Important Notes
If your organization plans on using your own mail service to send communications from your website, there are a few things to be mindful of.
- It’s important to make sure that the sending service you have selected for sending meets the criteria for those sending “bulk communications”. This includes setting up SPF (protection against domain spoofing), DKIM (digital signature to prevent sender impersonation), and DMARC (protection against forged email messages) authentication among other things.
- Please note that if you use your own email-sending service, email bounces will no longer be tracked by CivicPlus, which means that you will need to manually remove them from your subscription lists.

If you would like to proceed with this setup, please contact our Technical Support team to enable the SMTP configuration properties you will need to configure your setup.
Once enabled, System Administrators will then see the SMTP options within your Site Properties and be able to proceed with setup.
