Document loading time is determined by the size of your document, document properties, and the speed of your internet connection. We suggest that you enable Fast Web View in your PDF creator settings.
Fast Web View restructures a PDF document for page-at-a-time downloading (byte-serving) from web servers. With Fast Web View, the web server only sends the requested page, rather than the entire PDF. This option is especially important with large documents that can take a long time to download from a server. This allows the viewer to view the first page right away and more pages as they load.
There are three ways to enable Fast Web View:
- Verify Fast Web
- Enable Fast Web
- Enable Fast Web View for an Existing PDF
Those articles will show you how to verify that an existing PDF is enabled for Fast Web View.
Instructions
- Open your PDF in Acrobat
- Navigate to File > Properties
- Check to see if Fast Web View is turned on or off (Yes/No) at the bottom-right of the Description box
