Enable Department-Only Search

This article will show you how to enable Department-Only Search for the Search Widget. You must create an option set and enable this behavior. Department-Only Search displays an option to search only the currently viewed department if enabled on a Department Header Page.

Instructions

 

  1. Sign in to your website solution
  2. Navigate to Modules and on the Site Tools tab, select Design Center
    Design Center in Site Tools menu.
  3. In the Design Center, select Widget Manager
    Widget Manager.
  4. Select the Search option in the Widget Types menu:
    Search Widget Type.
  5. Click the Add New Option Set (+) icon to add a new option set, or click to select an existing option set:
    Search Widget Option Sets and Add Set (+) Button.
  6. If you create a new option set, you must enter a Name and click Create Option Set
    Search Widget Add Option Set Dialog Box.
  7. Navigate to the Behavior tab
    Search Widget Option Sets Behavior Tab.
  8. Check the Enable Department-Only Search
    Search Widget Option Sets Behavior Tab Enable Department-Only Search Checkbox.
    Note: This will display an option to search only the currently viewed department, if on a Department Header Page.
  9. Click the Save button
    Search Widget Option Sets Behavior Tab Save Button.
