This article is designed to teach you about the differences between Public and Hidden Archives. When archiving an item in a module, you can choose the Archive Public or Archive Hidden option.
-
Archive Public: Selecting the Archive Public option will unpublish and delete the item, and add the item to the Archives Visible section of that module. If Public Archives are enabled, end-users should be able to search and view items in the Archive section.
-
Archive Hidden: Selecting the Archive Hidden option will unpublish and delete the item and add the item to the Archives Hidden section of that module. These items will be accessible on the back end of the site, but not visible to the public.
To enable or disable public access to module Archives, please contact Support.

This article is confusing to me. In my opinion, a short video with verbal instruction would be very helpful.
