Archive an Item

This article will show you how to archive a blog item.

  

Who can use this feature?

System Admin Slash Owner

 

 

Instructions

  1. Navigate to Modules > Content > Blog
    navigate to the blog module
  2. Select the category the item is in 
    select a blog category
  3. Find the item you would like to archive
    select a blog item
  4. Select Choose an Action > Archive Public or Archive Hidden
    blog item, choose an action drop-down menu, archive public or archive hidden
    • Archive Public: Public can still see the message within the archives
    • Archive Hidden: Public cannot see the message

    What are the benefits of archiving an item? If a user changes their mind later and needs to bring the item back into the regular site, can that be accomplished?

    very interested in an answer here.  I copied an old News Flash for Election details, thinking I could publish it but its stuck in archives!  Need to contact support to see if I can publish.
