To confirm, there is not yet a field type where people can add an electronic signature, as of 04/26/2023? There is only the checkbox option combined with the language above?
Hi Jeff, I am interested in receiving an answer on this. It would be an excellent field type to add.

We have decided that we will not be pursuing adding a physical signature field to the Form Center at this time.
Upon our research, the United States Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce (ESIGN) Act, and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA), have four major requirements for an electronic signature to be recognized as valid under U.S. law. Those are intent, consent to do business online, association of signature with the record and retention.
This can be satisfied with a box for typing their name and an additional checkbox of acknowledgement/consent. We would encourage anyone that is creating a legally binding document to consult their local laws or legal representatives to ensure your use case is covered.
As a reminder for everyone, we do not allow collecting Personally Identifiable Information (PII) on forms without additional Encrypted Forms security.
