Add a Commercial Listing in the Real Estate Locator

This article will show you how to add a Commercial Listing in the Real Estate Locator module and includes instructions for adding from both the front and back ends of the module.

Back End Instructions

1. Sign in to your website solution
2. Click the Modules menu and on the Content tab, select Real Estate Locator
   
3. Click the Actions button related to the Seller you want to add the listing to
   
4. Select the Add Commercial Listing option from the expanded Actions menu
   
5. Fill in the listing's information:
   
   
   • Listing Information
     • Price: List the price of the property
     • For Sale or Rent (required): Mark if the property is for sale or rent
     • Display (required): Either set the display date and duration or hide it from the public
     • Feature: Check if you would like to feature this property
   • Basic Property Information
     • Address and County: List the address and county
     • Neighborhood: Add a neighborhood name
     • Acreage: Add the acreage of the property
     • Total Square Footage: Add the total square footage of the building
     • Property Type: List the property type
   • Building Information
     • Amenities: Add a description of the building
     • Location Amenities: Add amenities from the drop-down
   • Photos and Video
     • Photos (Optional): Allows you to upload up to 20 photos
     • Video (Optional): Allows you to add a link to a video
6. Select a save option at the top of the page:
   
   • Save Changes: Will save the changes without publishing them
   • Save and Publish: Will save the changes and publish them
   • Cancel: Will exit the Add a Commercial Listing screen with nothing saved

Front End Instructions

1. Sign in to your website solution
2. Navigate to [yourdomain]/realestate.aspx:
   
3. Click on My Properties
   
4. Click Add Commercial Listing
   
5. Fill out the Listing Information fields
   
   
   • Price: Enter the price of the listing
   • Status (required): Select For Sale or For Rent
   • Display (required): Choose the timeframe for when the listing is available
     • Feature this listing for free: Select this to feature this property on the Real Estate Locator's main screen for no price
       
       Note: This does not mean the price of the listing will be free.
   • Visibility | Hide this listing from the public: Select if you want to keep this listing hidden from the public
6. Click the Continue button
   
7. Fill out Basic Property Information fields (all required)
   
   • Owner: Enter the owner's first and last name
   • Address: Enter the listing's address (street, city, state, zip code)
   • County: Enter the listing's county
   • Neighborhood: Enter the listing's neighborhood
   • Acreage: Enter the acreage of the listing
   • Total Square Footage: Enter the total square footage of the listing
   • Property Type: Enter the property type
8. Click the Continue button
   
9. Navigate through Building Information and Utility Information
   
   
   Note: You will have to manually add fields to view any options for these two pages.
10. Click Continue
    
11. Navigate to the Photos and Videos page
    
    
    • Click Add Photo(s) to drag-and-drop photos from your computer to the listing
      Note:

      • Upload up to 20 photos for your listing
      • Hover over a thumbnail to change the order or remove a photo
    • Paste a Video Link into the Video text box
12. Click Continue
    
13. Click Preview, Post, or Cancel
    
    • Preview: Shows you a preview of the listing without posting
    • Post: Will immediately post the listing
    • Cancel: Will cancel your listing and return you to the My Properties screen
