Modify a Quick Link

This article will show you how to modify an existing Quick Link.  

 

Who can use this feature?

Engage-System Admin Engage-Slash Engage-Owner Engage-Slash Engage-Publisher Engage-Slash Engage-Author

Note: Authors can only modify draft Quick Links and cannot publish.

 

 

Instructions    

  1. Navigate to Modules > Content > Quick Links
    nav to quick links
  2. Select the category that contains the Quick Link you want to modify
    select quick link
  3. Next to the Quick Link you want to modify, click Choose an Action > Modify
    choose action modify
  4. Edit the Quick Link
    view details
    • Web Address: The website address you want for your Quick Link
      • Note: All URLs must begin with http:// or https:// or ftp://.
      • Note: All internal links must start with a '/'
    • Display Text: Will show a display text instead of the link for ADA compliance
    • Open in new window: Check if you want this Quick Link to open in a new window; if you do not put a checkmark in the checkbox the link will open in the same window
    • Display
      • Starting On: Date you would like this Quick Link to display on the public side
      • Stopping On: Date you would like this Quick Link to come off and unpublish itself from the public side
  5. Click Save at the top of the page
    save
    • Save and Submit (Authors only): Save work and submit to a publisher for review

    How long does it take for modified link to update?  I just edited one of our Quicklinks and its not reflected on the site yet despite refreshing the screen.
