Learn how to troubleshoot when newly created items duplicate on the Staff Directory.
Issue
An issue may arise in the Staff Directory module where, upon refresh, you have an unwanted duplicate of the item you just created. You may also receive a pop-up that says:
- Continue Form Resubmission - The page that you're looking for used the information that you entered. Returning to that page might cause any action you took to be repeated. Do you want to continue?
Explanation
- When you tell the page to refresh, you also tell the page to complete any actions involved with reloading the page. In this case, the last action is adding your desired item. Each time the page refreshes, the page will want to complete its loading action and add your new item.
Resolution
- We recommend that you do not use the browser refresh immediately after submitting form information to avoid duplicate submissions. You can refresh the Staff Directory without adding additional items by selecting the Content tab at the top of the page.
