Set Permissions for My Dashboard

This article will show you how to change the module permissions for My Dashboard.

 

Who can use this feature?

System Administrator

 

Instructions

 

  1. Sign in to your website
  2. Navigate to the Modules menu and on the Content tab, select My Dashboard
    The My Dashboard module on the Modules dropdown menu.
  3. Select the Permissions tab
    The Permissions tab in the My Dashboard module's back end.
  4. Select the group permissions for the module
    A list of groups to set Module permissions for.
    • V (View): Viewers can only see the category, but cannot create content for the website
    • A (Author): Authors can create, edit, and submit content for publication on the website. Authors cannot publish content for the website
    • P (Publisher): Publishers can create, edit, and publish content to the website
    • O (Owner): Owners have full rights to their assigned category

  5. Select a save option
    The Permission tab's save buttons.
    • Save: Saves any changes made to permissions
    • Save and Push Down: Saves any changes made to permissions and moves the group further down the list
