Add an Image in the Editor Widget

This article will show you how to add an image to the Editor widget.

Important Note

Please review the Image and Slideshow Best Practices before adding an image to your page.

Instructions

1. Log in to your website solution
   
   Note: Website preferences may change what this looks like, but adding "/admin" to your website's URL will take you to a sign-in screen for administrative login
2. Navigate to your desired page
3. Ensure that the Live Edit state is toggled to ON:
   
4. Click on your Editor widget:
   
5. Click the Insert Image button from the toolbar:
   
6. Click the Insert button related to your chosen image to add the image to the Editor widget:
   
7. Click on your inserted image to access the Image Configuration toolbar and alter your configuration options:
   
   • Replace: Choose to insert a different image
   • Align: Choose to align your image to the left, center, or right side of the widget
     
     Note: Your image will align to the left by default
   • Remove: Delete the image from the Editor Widget
   • Insert Link: Add a link to your image
   • Display: Have the image display Inline with other content or Break Text
     Note: Your image will Break Text by default
   • Style: Choose a Rounded or Bordered style
     Note: Your image will have no style by default
   • Alt (Alternative) Text: Add descriptive alt text for your image
     
     Note: This is important as it ensures that the image is accessible to assistive technology like screen readers
   • Change Size: Set the Width and Height of the image
     
     Note: The width attribute must be set as a percentage (%) for the image to be mobile-responsive
8. Click the Done Editing button to exit the widget:
   
9. Click the Save button:
