This enhancement is a part of the October 30, 2021 release.
Page-Specific Splash Modals
Splash Modal functionality has been added to the Properties tab in Pages Live Edit. This will allow Page Owners to configure unique Splash Modals for specific pages and/or sections of your website.
When Enabled, the Splash Modal displayed on the page will use the Properties configured. Selecting the Push-Down option will make all child pages also display the same Splash Modal. This is useful when you want to display a custom modal across a section of your website such as a department.
If Disabled, the Page will display the inherit Splash Modal setting content from Site Properties or, if configured to Push Down, the page’s parent.
To allow Administrators the ability to override custom page splash modals, there are now additional options in the Site Wide Splash Modal in Site Properties. In an emergency situation, for instance, an Administrator user can select the All Pages - Do Not Allow Custom Page Modals to force all pages of the site to display the same modal regardless of the page level settings.
Splash Modal Date Scheduling
The Sitewide Splash Modal now includes optional fields to configure display start and end dates. This will allow Administrator users to schedule a time window during which the splash modal should be displayed to website visitors. These date and time configurations are also available in the new Page Modal Properties as well.
Important Notes
- Page Modals are Disabled by default.
- If a Page Modal is Enabled and has a Display Date/Time range configured, the page will continue to display the Site-Wide modal outside of that scheduled window (or inherited parent page modal, if configured).
